The Republican Convention is over
Sept. 3rd, 2012 Kansas City - What happened in Tampa?
The Republican Convention in Tampa is over. As was to expect, the official nomination as candidate for the race for the White House was in the center. And necessarily by that, the introduction of Mitt Romney, a candidate, who, for various reasons wasn't all that known to the voters.
Well, most of what we heard before about Mitt Romney came from his enemies. And lets face the truth here, the Obama campaign never took the truth too serious. We hear about the jobs shipped to Chine by Mitt Romney but never about the jobs he created here, in the US. We heard about the heartless bloodsucker, but never about the man, who helped others through some of the worst times in their lives. So, it was time, the Republicans told a little bit more about their man. And we heard about Mitt Romney, we heard about the jobs at Staples, at the Sport's Point and what all those company names were. We heard about Mitt Romey, who served as pastor and gave help to families losing kids. We heard it. We heard a lot.
Now, some will believe it, some not. I am rarely a believer in anything, I look things up. So, first thing, I looked up companies, Bain Capital and Mitt Romney invested in. Funny thing. I found long lists. Some companies weren't consolidated, some were streamlined under the loss of a lot jobs, but the alternative would have been to lose all jobs there and some, a lot, where started with the help of Bain and Mitt Romney or consolidated by them and have nowadays more, a lot more, employees than ever. Burlington Coat Factory for example. Now, that was the point, where I scratched my head for the first time. Of course, I never believed in the Democrat's propaganda. I look things up. But why on Earth didn't the Romney campaign tell us those company stories earlier? Those were not ten-thousand of jobs, not a hundred-thousand. If you estimate conservative and add the jobs in the supply chain for those companies, Mitt Romney alone created nearer to half a million jobs than to a quarter million. Which is much more than Obama, all means of the administration in his hand ever created, even if you count the new employees in his bigger government. So why didn't Romney tell us?
Things went weirder. I started to dig into his time as pastor. And what came up? More, many more people, he helped. With advice, with actual work or, and one shouldn't underestimate that, with human gesture and heart. And digging deeper, this didn't end with his time as pastor. He is still on that, whenever he finds the time. And again, the question popped up, why did his campaign tell us nothing about that side of Mitt Romney?
And what came up? More, many more people, he helped. With advice, with actual work or, and one shouldn't underestimate that, with human gesture and heart. And digging deeper, this didn't end with his time as pastor. He is still on that, whenever he finds the time. And again, the question popped up, why did his campaign tell us nothing about that side of Mitt Romnyy?
Thinking about it, there are two reasons. Of course, the Democrats

Mitt Romney

will tell us, Mitt Romney held the hands of dying children because there was profit in it. Which wasn't. But since this is, what will come up, it is on a human level understandable, to hold the people, he held out of the coming media storm and we know, on which side the lamestream media stands. Their liberal journalists ran already rampant through the convention coverage and I bet, the very same crews will now have a lot more time to praise Obama while the Democratic convention goes on. So, to hold people out of the fray is one reason.
But then, when Mitt Romney spoke, I saw some little signs in body language and behavior. Maybe I'm a little too sharp on those things, but they tell a lot about people and opposite to words, they are hard to hide or twist. So, what did I see? Romney wasn't comfortable during the speech. Afterwaords, he was relaxed, but during the speech ... there was someone, who isn't a natural speaker. For minutes, I wasn't even sure whether he knew where the teleprompter was or whether he forgot the glasses and couldn't read it. There were, in his whole speech, two times, he looked certain and comfortable, that was, when he said, what needs to be done and the second time, when he made his promise to help the American families instead of stopping the oceans from raising. To me, he seems much more confident, when he can work with actual problems. Mitt Romney is a mediocre speaker and a lousy liar. The Democratic translation for that would be "unqualified" because he is successful but without lying. And that, seen with the eyes of professional politicians, is unforgivable.
Now, the Democratic Convention just started. We will hear excellent prepared speeches read perfectly from teleprompters. We will hear a lot of attack and mudslinging. We will hear promises. And of course, we will see the Obama family everywhere. What we will not hear is about Barack Obama's history of job-creation. There is none. What we will not hear, is about his time actually serving a community. He organized communities, but nowhere is any hint about Barack Obama taking times for others in those communities. We will hear about his successes in foreign politics, mostly apologies, one war without asking the Congress and endless negotiations with Iran and North Korea and in general, we will hear, how much his heart beats for the American families, how laser-sharp he will focus on the unemployment (the main problems with lasers is called diffusion, did you know that?) and we will hear promises. He will repeat each and
every promise from 2008. He didn't keep them then, why would he now? But they worked then, so why shouldn't they now?
Still, there is a bottom line to it all: Most Americans have already made their choice and this choice will be in a lot of cases not determined by actual facts but by appearances. Obama is an empty shell, but he has mastered the art to look good a long time ago. And thus, there is still the chance, he will appeal to the gullible, to the simple minded and to those, who will effectively profit from another four years of Obama. For example Sotero or Buffet and some other billionaires (Sotero will get his Solyndra money back, the tax payer not). There is a chance, he can win his re-election. Fine, that's democracy. There is no law demanding people to look up things before they go voting - or even make then think, about what they are doing. But please, please, Americans, in the interest of your children and grand-children, please do it, at least this one time. We are already at $15 trillion in debt, four years more of an Obama who doesn't care for another election because he can't do a third term anyway, this will not end at $20 trillion debt, that can even reach three or five trillions more. So please, one time, look up, what the candidates say, check out for yourself, who lies, who has the record, then make a decision. Technically, it's not your right, but your duty!
