Not new but news
May 3rd, 2016, Kansas City: The flood of what we already know
Okay, one article per month, screening the news ... what? Nothing? Really nothing? Well, there is Obama at the Correspondent's Ball cracking jokes ... jokes from a man who single-handedly trippled the number of under- and malnourished children in our country and piled up the biggest mountain of debt any civilization in human history had to bear ever are NOT funny! But then the guy always thought, he was a comedian. So, what else? Trump protesters, twenty to be exact, in Costa Verde! If this article shows anything then it is the desperation to make bad news about the Donald. But we knew that before. So, it's in the news but it is far from new. And looking further out into the world ... the same picture. Refugee crisis and security concerns, the win of outright neonazis in Germany after the established politics failed to react in time. Governments who endanger for their political ideas the own population are not rare currently and it is not always malignancy, sometimes, it's just ineptness ... and that is in the news but far from being new.
So, what is going on here? The papers and the news outlet in the Internet are full. Endless, one could say. And still, we wait in vain for the real news. For example, the GOP has finally made up their mind. It would be of course good for the party and the presidential campaign ... but personal ambition and relentless holding on to the power will prevent that to the last minute, how big ever the damage will be. But then, we saw this egg dance for months now, including some cases, voters can only feel as delegate stealing, it is not new, it is only in the news over and over again. Bernie Sanders still runs ... nobody knows whereto, but fine, let him run. Someone who propagates ideas that are known since roughly 5000 years as failures will not run anywhere to end up in a signficant position unless his competitor Hillary Clinton gets finally locked up for selling uranium to Russia or her private mail server affair. And since the General Attorney has the same party book, that won't happen. Nothing new, even it's still sometimes in the news. ISIS blows some people up ... again ... where is the news in that?
See, each and every of these articles would have been news at some point. The reason why most of us simply can't bring up an amount of adequate interest is, we have seen too much of it.

No new news

We haven't seen once, twice, ten times about refuguees from Syria, we see a documentary or a political comment every day ... plus at least five of them in the Internet outlets. Now, those journalists, they maybe think, repeat, repeat, repeat, that is how they can force the dumb mass (aka us) into following their agendas, but in fact, the brain just falls asleep.
The reletenless flooding with always the same not new news serves mainly two pruposes: Fill pages and manipulate readers. The latter is in election years of course very intriguing to man. Not without reason, correspondents, journalists and politicians meet each other annually to a ball to have a good time together. Media have become the tools of ruthless politicians all too often and sometimes one has to throw his tools a little morsel, does he? Once, a long time ago, journalists reported ... today they feel entitled "to make opinion" and since we, the dumb mass, didn't listen the first time, we get the rinse-and-repeat treatment. The slightest trigger brings the next round. Anti-Trump-Rally, twenty people there ... yeah, that's national news! Not because it was successful or big or changed anything, only because it allowed a journalist to write another hate pamphlet against a hopeful he doesn't like. Rinse-repeat ...
Here is the question, I wonder about: Is there really nothing else worth to report anymore? Of course, journalists could fill pages with other things worthy our attention. You may not know it, but what Mother Theresa built so many years ago in India still exists, it is right now in dire financial problems. 10% of the kickback, Hillary Clinton got for her uranium deal, or one of her speeches would be enough to keep them afloat for another year. But rarely people know, it's not news-worthy.Or Chernobyl had an anniversary a few days ago, thirty years since the disaster. All we got to see were pictures of devastated landscape because that for the agenda of "nuclear power is bad", however rarely I saw a word about roughly thirty similar reactor still in operation in Russia and North Korea. Now that would have been senseful information, wouldn't it?
Neaer to home, some five years ago, four dead women were found on Gilgo Beach, Long Island and subsequently more remains ... a lot of media hype. The killer is still out there. In the meantime, the Chief of Ds got 52 months for corruption and more is to follow, the FBI made some big noise, that now, after they finished their corruption investigation can finally jump into this cold case ... yeah ... right! In the meantime, more women die and not one reporters finds that actually news worthy. So yes, there is a wide field of work cut out for journalists ... but then, this would mean, they need to return to present news and once they have tasted the power over the dumb mass, aka we, they will never give it up again - and that is exactly the problem!
